You scan the horizon, seeing lush green islands much like this one. But they are devastatingly far apart. Perhaps if you were to fell some trees and somehow be possessed of the skill to turn those logs into a canoe. Perhaps you could go there and see if you would fare better.

Northern Beach
The Northern Beach of the island is a long cove with sharp and unpredictable turns. From the far western corner, a series of islands can be spotted, but more than a mile separated the two land masses and you think it unlikely you'll reach it anytime soon.
